ACTOR. SINGER. DANCER.

Oi! Tudo bom? Hey there! I’m Júlia Garcia!

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I started dancing at the age of 3, joined the Municipal Theatre of Rio Maria Olenewa State Dance School at 11, and studied classical ballet, modern dance, jazz, and tap dance my whole life. I completed many courses including passing grade level exams under the approval of the Cuban National Ballet School, and doing a Summer Intensive ballet study at Mount Holyoke College in Massachussetts. It was like that until I found my voice and discovered the power of storytelling through theatre. I decided to further my education by coming to the US and getting a BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point. I graduated Cum Laude in 2022, and I’m so grateful for the professors, actors, dancers, and directors I have met there. They have helped me become the person I am today!

I am now a NYC based actor, and I’m always looking for stories that evoke the best in people. When I’m not on stage you can catch me taking pictures at church, watching movies with my friends, or spending my money on overpriced lattes!
